TikTok prompts brands to re-think their search strategies

Jared Belsky, CEO of Acadia, shares with Digiday:

“In July, Google senior vp [Prabhakar Raghavan] reported that 40% of young people go first to TikTok to search for certain categories ahead of Google. This is happening because of the authenticity of the content, as well as the visual nature of TikTok's answers/responses.”
